Farm Holidays in Umbria Le Sorgenti
The farm village "Le Sorgenti" is situated in Norcia (province of Perugia), is located in Casali Legogne and makes an integral part of the ancient farm of Cecconi, founded in 1806.
The ancient complex of villas possesses two rural buildings. All of them were used before as stables and barns in the ground floor while the first floor was used for the farm worker’s apartments and cattlemen rooms for people who collaborated within the farm business and were hosted by the proprietor of the Villa, however with the implementation of mechanization the company no longer requires usage of external personnel and all works are now carried out by the owners themselves. The structures are created to accommodate also people with mobility difficulties, some rooms and public areas are fully wheelchair.
The name of "Le Sorgenti" is derived from the remarkable and unique presence also in the internal territory of buildings of purest steal water at a high attitude. The restoration project was firstly aimed on historical peculiarity maintenance together with transformation of the structure in accordance with the modern living needs and with the maintenance of the balance of usage of the contemporary building materials and traditional technique of constructing houses with wooden floors and walls in local stone facing.
